The LPD dominates Region D. We are happy to see an old face back in the playoffs. Congratulations Clintwood. The last time the LPD dominated both Divisions 1 and 2 was in 1998. These are the same teams playing for the Championship that played in 1998. Both games are at UVa-Wise.
APPALACHIA AND JOHN I. BURTON
Appalachia has had one heck of a football season to say the least with a record of 9-2. John I. Burton keeps rollin' at 11-0 looking to extend that to 12-0.
When these two teams met in regular season, the Raiders steam rolled the Bulldawgs 47 to 0 in an old fashioned country spanking. It gave the dawgs a wake up call to say the least. The following week the Bulldawgs took a little trip to Clintwood High School and the Waves were no match for the Dawgs. The Dawgs won 46 to 14.
These two teams meet again and this should be a much better game than last time. Will the Dawgs get their revenge and chomp the Raiders? The Dawgs put up a fight but the Raiders wear them down in second half.

POWELL VALLEY VS. CLINTWOOD
This looks like it's going to be the game to watch Saturday. Both teams have done nothing but get better week after week.
Be careful Vikings. High-tide is at 12:30 P.M. November 25, 2006. From the looks of it it's going to last awhile. The Vikings were very fortunate to catch low-tide the last minute of the last game. The current looks strong too.
The Viking ship seems sturdy enough to handle 6 foot Green Waves.
High-tide looks to last overtime.
The Vikings sail on to Pearisburg, VA and plan to land there at 1:30 December 2, 2006.
